Customs & Courtesies and Respect for the Flag

• DO NOT SALUTE INDOORS unless *reporting to receive an award. Of course, Veterans have the right to render a hand salute to the Flag whether in uniform or not.

• Please be alert to who is around you and demonstrate the highest level of customs and courtesies at all times!

• Take a look at the Flag Code, specifically §9, “Conduct during hoisting, lowering or passing of flag.

• Please make note of the differences for conduct while indoors vs outdoors.
